Ramalinga Raju ..... New IT Villain ???

It is true that most IT bosses are into corrupt practices.....

Krish Gopalakrishnan of Infosys was once caught while selling his stocks.
That was a criminal act and yet nothing happened??

NRM and Infosys have always maintained their share prices by manipulation of their revenues and guidance !!!

But how can the
Ambanis be spared ?? ..... from Dhirubhai then his sons get away with far worse .......... there are other big n small time players .............

If all these guys can get away and even be
glorified, then why not Raju ?
Like my
Infy friend (Sorry can't take his name ) rightly mentioned in this Economy-Driven world...... All are "Opportunists"............
Business is what matters at the end of the day....
Hmmmmm ......... Maybe !

Is it their bread n costly butter which makes them do this ?? ....... Expected !!!

Doing business this way is not common sense. Showing inflated profits is a common thing as you pointed out. But the magnitude of the fraud is what is shocking here. If the real facts are taken up then satyam is bankrupt!

Nasty thing to have happened to Indian IT industry...

Rahul Viswanath said...

@Swayam - Enjoy .... Even though I am an IT guy I do accept the fact that engg's can be a pain ..... ;-)

Rahul Viswanath said...

@Twisted Elegance - True ! Now the CEO and other board of directors are saying they were not aware pf the fraud ???? .......... :O

@Sangs - Its sad .... but I guess reality does sometimes bite ;-)

The good thing is that the deal with maytas didn't finalize or else they would have swaped there assets for the fictitious accounts.

I wud say... this is nothing new. History is loaded with similar examples (Petrodollar, Enron, Sub-prime, IT bubble, etc.). Once you get to the top of the pecking order I dunno what gets you... "Vanity", "Fear of loosing", "Ego"... whatever you call it. It is just that we have been seeing more of this nowadays. Some wud say thatz bcos the world is more open now, its pretty easy for things to come to the limelight. I dunno whether this is true or false. All I can say is we reap what we sow (Ya, we don't need a rocket scientist to figure that out, but end of the day history repeats itself).

@Vinay - well said mate ..... make sense !! Thnxxxxx ......

Indians are so corrupt, regardless of where they are and what they do. This is not a statement of hate, but unfortunate fact - evaluate for yourself. Why is there so much corruption in India? Answer - because Indians are corrupt.

They need to purge this corruption from themselves and society if India is to progress.
