Luck by Chance .............. Impressed !!!

This review is by one of my close friend Pavan .........
Has amazing knowledge about movies around the world ..... A to Z ...... You name them !! His take on LBC ...........

LBC was far far better than Rock On.. LBC is one of the best Hindi screen plays off late.. I was so amazed by each and every frame and was hoping that you would write a review of the movie in ur blog so that I cud comment in detail about it..
I badly wanted to write abt it.. I had been to the movie with 8 others and everybody hated the movie saying it was too slow & boring.........

I cud totally understand why they felt so.. But even though I had read here and there that its a slow movie, I felt it was one of the gripping movies I've watched recently.. The screen play and dialogues were amazing...
Hats off to Javed Saab for writing such witty dialogues.. .. Sheer pleasure.. !

The cameos by all the stars were so apt..Mac Mohan [ His character kaalia is popular, but he had just one dialogue in the entire movie 'Sholay' ] to SRK [ Who is known to be close to all his pre stardom friends and GF(gauri) ] to Aamir khan..who goes to the director after every shot and reviews it... I feel one should be crazy abt movies and film industry to actually follow and enjoy this movie..

The more you watch it the more gems u unearth and will enjoy it more.. That's the reason I said Cinema Paradisoooo.. [ which truly celebrated cinema ].. Akhtars are on bunch of talented ppl.. Bow to all of them.. I was really impressed with the credit rolls at the beginning where they showed all those ppl behind the 'scenes'.. Very thoughtful and apt !
I felt bad that such a movie was not appreciated by the larger audience.. But if you notice Esp in India.. the greatest movies have been great duds at Box office.. I force myself to stop at this point.. :).. !

Definitely a movie which you come out of the theater and wait for the DVD release... !!

Thanks Rahul.. Well it was not meant to be a review.. I was just venting out my feelings.. Reviews need to well written.. Still thanks so much.. ;) Here is one witty dialogue of Javed saab that I had mentioned.. but somehow got deleted in my scrap I guess ( WHile splitting it into multiple parts } " Wo sitting mein baithe hain aur sitting chal rahi hai "... !!

I agree with most of what Pavan has written except the "Rock On" part...! Myabe it's got to do with the music/energy that was there in "Rock On!!!". Both are good films and it's better not to compare coz each one has his/her own take. Like I said before, Farhan Akhtar is a Powerhouse of talent! ; or probably like Romy Rolly says with a heavy Punju accent in the movie "Volcano of Talent"

Like Pavan said, to appreciate the nuances of LBC you need to eat, sleep and live Hindi movies.

I haven't watched the movie yet but as long as Farhan Akhtar is there I am fine :))

I loved the movie completely.. especially Konkana's dialogues in the end to Farhan... They were beautiful... That is what captured the essence of the movie...

@Swayam : True ... I loved Konkana as I do alwayzzzz ..... Last 30mins were awesome and was indeed the essence of the movie !!!

I got so involved while watching that I didn't even realize when it got over. I said "that's it?".
I was craving for more. Both the leads were good in their performances, and I liked Rishi Kapoor's efficiency also. Overall, it's a must watch this season and can be seen again and again.

i thought the end was rather abrupt but made sense in retrospect.
Other than that, great screenplay, mediocre performances, except by Shahrukh.. that man stands out in that one shot. Dissapointment of the day? Hrithik Roshan's work.

i really liked the way pavan has put together the points ... despite few commandable scenes,i felt the story line is old and it has been shown a number of times on the silver screen....probably a good start for Zoya... however the movie would't been the same without the "other" Akthars.......

@Rally : Thnxxxxxxxxx Bud !! All credit to Mr Pavan ;)
